River cycles

Sharleen Smith
600mm x 760mm   /
Acrylic on canvas
Water in our waterways changes and goes through different cycles depending on what is happening around it.

It warms up during fire, is murky after flooding but runs clear at times, before the storm or rain. The dots represent the different ripples and movement of the water. The edge is the riverbank – Mother Earth.

About the artist

Smith resides in Dalby, her tribe is Kamillaroi and she loves to paint. Her main designs consist of traditional style dotting and fine lines.
