The concept of destruction and rebirth brings hope of a new beginning from every ending. For humans, it is as applicable to the physiological as it is to the psychological; but also, to our environment. For this artwork, I was inspired by the cosmos, where destruction & rebirth are observed on a massive scale. The rising Phoenix depicts the clouds of gas sent into space after a supernova, where the elements will form new stars and planets, and eventually, new life.
