I feel that the essence in this photo is the participation of rock and water formulating an abstract feature. The reflection in the water emphasizes the fantasy in the photo and I feel that it shows an almost spiritual essence.

About the artist
Peter Van Der Veen was born in the Netherlands and has lived in Australia since 1969. Van Der Veen has come to love and appreciate the camera later in life and enjoys experimenting with it. Photography is Van Der Veen’s way to capture the beauty of nature; to be preserved by all of us. All photos have been taken by his iPhone or Lumix and nothing has been digitally enhanced.
