Artwork Statement
At dawn on ANZAC Day throughout Australia, the eerie silence is disrupted by the bugler sounding the Last Post and Reveille. As a mark of remembrance, the field of poppies symbolises all those who were lost to war. War has disrupted the lives of all humanity throughout the world. I am a 20-year veteran of the Royal Australian Navy, so this theme resonates with me on a personal level. Lest we forget.
