Artwork Statement
In this inverted 360-drone image of the Dalby night sky, I challenge traditional photography by transforming the familiar into the unrecognisable. The township becomes a metaphysical sphere, with the full moon playing a silent witness to the structured chaos and order beneath. Streetlights slice through the centre of town like digital vein and, the roads fall off into the distant horizon. I bend urban structure into something unfamiliar, not experienced, altering how we see, think and understand geographical space. By fragmenting the ordinary into something alien-like, the image becomes a metaphor.
