Widow by suicide, not by choice. An immeasurable betrayal one feels when vows no longer apply. I stood beside my best friend, on what should have been her 15th wedding anniversary, capturing this very raw and pivotal moment of contemplation, rebellion and self-liberation. Engulfed in flames, traditions burn. The very symbol of eternity, a ring, melting into turmoil, challenging the very idea it represents. This image evokes the very definition of disrupt to its core. The sudden destruction of what was once sacred. A visual rebellion against love, honour, and cherish. A new chapter begins.
Powerful, emotive image executed through a simple, carefully observed composition that isn’t too literal but gives enough symbolic elements for the viewer to interpret the meaning. Your personal and raw story stays with the viewer.
