Life can be disrupted in an instant. This work was born from the emotional chaos and despair of being diagnosed with a stroke. My body, that once was predictable, is now volatile. Peace became fear for myself and my family. My world was suddenly overwhelming and filled with blocks of unstackable emotions. Depressive greys, days of blue with shades of happiness were unpredictable now. Creating this piece involved the outpouring of grief, rage, anger and confusion. My face to the world was dictated by the emotional blocks that presented, not by choice but by the trauma of chaos thrust upon me.
