Anzac Day in Meandarra

Anzac Day in Meandarra

By Carolyn Beattie

Anzac Day has always been a special day for the small Western Downs township of Meandarra. It is a day where the community comes together to reflect, remember, and honour the sacrifices made by those who have served.

Since 2015, Carolyn Beattie has been capturing moments in time during the Meandarra Anzac Day commemorative services, along with the Dawn Services, and the iconic marches down Sara Street to the Cenotaph. Her photographs feature our proud veterans, local school children, and beloved community members.

For the first time, Carolyn Beattie’s Anzac Day images have been gathered in the one place, creating this very special photographic exhibition in the Meandarra ANZAC Memorial Museum. Lest We Forget.
