The application of paint to canvas, the creation of an image from the mind of the artist and conveyance of the narrative created, has been a ritual which has bound all artists across time and tradition. It has been this ritual which has been foremost in my own creative journey, igniting moments of intense physical and emotional reactions, both when I create and when I deep dive into the artworks of other creatives. Haystacks of the bush is a joyful response to the principles of light, colour and technique found within the Impressionist and Post Impressionist art movements.
