Expression of Interest

Seeking Western Downs Region artists to participate in the next ten (10) audio visual Western Downs regional artist profiles.

10 Artists Project was established in 2020 to showcase artists living and working within the Western Downs region. The purpose of the project is to digitally feature our regional artists, their practices and our vibrant arts community through Western Downs Regional Council social media and web platforms. What is involved:
The audio-visual artist profile for each artist will include:
• A one-and-a-half-minute video about the artist (that’s you!)
• A professional profile image/head shot
• 10-15 action images e.g. working in the studio, en plein air, with an artwork that holds meaning, with a source of inspiration, in a special place…
• Collective exhibition to showcase profiles and artists’ work at the end of the project

What you need to apply:
• Current artist biography (maximum 100 words)
• Current artist CV
• Image of yourself
• Up to 5 images of previous artworks

Timeline:
The time frame for undertaking this project is flexible. However, key dates are as follows
• 27 November 2022 – Expression of Interest close
• January – February 2023 – Content development
• April 2023 – Artist profiles to go live (staggered)
• 28 July 2023 – 10 Artists Exhibition opening
