Current Exhibition Overview

The Anthropocene Epoch is an unofficial unit of geological time, used to describe the most recent period in Earth’s history when human activity started to have a significant impact on the Planet’s climate and ecosystem.

Artists are challenged to respond to how a person, image, object, or place has captured their experience of environmental and cultural change. This narrative urges us to consider aspects of ‘Living in the Anthropocene Epoch’ as a narrative of hope and rejuvenation.

The exhibition will demonstrate the unique experience of this time of change within the Western Downs and hopes to foster a collective desire for a culture of care, respect, and positive action.
